Network Systems Architect - Florence, KY 41042

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of the Sr. Systems Analyst is to manage Servers, applications running on these servers, network and desktop support in the plant. Configure and install new servers and workstations. Manage backup of all the servers on daily basis, trouble shoot server and networking issues and escalate them through proper channels in case of a critical issues. Help the team in troubleshooting desktop and MES related issues.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.

2. Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant

3. Respectfully, through words and actions, work cooperatively with team members.

4. Maintain servers in the computer room and be able to identify/resolve any hardware/software/network issues

5. Keep up to date all Microsoft Patches on the servers

6. Ensure good daily backups and send the backup tapes out to the outside facility.

7. Assist the team during any major hardware or software roll out.

8. Learn the MES architecture (Hardware and software).

9. Desktop support.

10. Available for off hour support rotation

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related

Experience: Three to Six years of experience. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment are desirable.

Skills:
o Good oral and written communication skills are essential
Knowledge of HP server hardware (installation/upgrade/troubleshooting)
o Knowledge of HP EVA SAN technologies
o Knowledge of SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 database installation, troubleshooting, backup and restore.
o Knowledge of Network equipment including switches and WI-FI technology.
o Knowledge of Windows 2003 server/Windows NLB/Windows XP
o Efficiency in filtering, resolving and relaying problems
o Knowledge of backup / restore software of Windows O/S

ASP.NET / SQL Server 2005 Developer - Cincinnati, OH 45215

This professional will initially work with the manufacturing operations manager to understand enhancements the manager would like to make in an existing manufacturing/scheduling application. The application is Microsoft based. Will use ASP.NET extensively, along with Microsoft SQL Server 2005. After this effort the professional will work to support miscellaneous projects in the backlog.
